Here at Lewis Trailers, we stock a variety of trailers designed to fulfill different uses across a range of industries. Even trailers with a single primary use, such as dump trailers built to transport and dump large quantities of materials, can be used in very different circumstances. Here are a few purposes that dump trailers are used for.

  • Cleanup: Waste is produced in several different ways, and dump trailers are often used to collect this waste and haul it to the appropriate drop-off spot during cleanup projects. Disaster relief, large-scale home renovations, and landscaping projects leave behind large messes and debris that are best taken care of with a heavy-duty dump trailer.
  • Material Delivery: Construction sites and manufacturing facilities require high quantities of raw materials. These materials aren’t easily or efficiently delivered by a standard pickup truck. Dump trailers are ideal for material delivery because they are equipped to safely contain raw materials on their way to their final destination.
  • Harvest Transport: When harvest season comes, farmers need a way to transport their fruits, vegetables, and grain to the facilities that process these crops before they are sold. Many farmers choose to rely on dump trailers to meet this transport need.
  • Equipment Transport: One usage for dump trailers that people don’t typically think of is hauling equipment for large events, such as city festivals. Podiums, stages, sound equipment, and other materials needed for these events have to be transported somehow, and heavy-duty trailers are perfect for this job.
